Our Second Declaration of Principles

Second Declaration of Principles- We believe that the phenomena of Nature, both physical and spiritual, are the expression of Infinite Intelligence. (We believe that God is expressed through all Nature.)

In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson, wrote that "all men are created equal … and are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights … [including] life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Jefferson identified the freedom of thought as one of the inalienable rights when he said, "Almighty God has created the mind free, and manifested his supreme will that free it shall remain by making it altogether insusceptible of restraint.

Natural Law: Inherent; having a basis in Nature, Reality and Truth; not made or caused by humankind; an existing condition which is binding and immutable (cannot be changed). Natural laws are not like laws in our society. Societal laws define conduct between human beings and are determined through governing bodies. Natural laws, on the other hand, are determined by fundamental forces within nature both on the seen and unseen side of life.

Many different natural laws have been described over time. Laws in physics include simple yet dynamic concepts such as Newton's law of universal gravitation. This law describes the attractive gravitational force that exists between two masses. One of the most important laws in chemistry is the law of conservation of matter. This law states that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. This law establishes the foundation for understanding chemical reactions, since matter in reactions is just recombined to form different combinations. Biology, too, has laws that describe natural phenomena. One excellent example is Mendel's law of segregation. This law describes how physical traits are passed from one generation to the next. And the list goes on and on and continues to be refined through constant study and reflection in numerous labs throughout the world. Did you ever stop to think about how these laws mimic the spiritual world?

Every day new insights help us to understand more and more the impact of natural forces on our lives and the results from our responses. Infinite Spirit operates through dynamic exchange which promotes a continuous flow of energy in the universe. Be mindful and open to understanding natural law both physical and spiritual- “As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul…” Hermes Trismegistus
